Stephany Perez

Stephany Perez (she/her/hers) is a Teaching Artist in APTP’s school-based program at Albany Park Multicultural Academy as well as APTP’s Company Manager, coordinating ensemble and theater space logistics. Stephany grew up in Albany Park and joined APTP as a seventh grader in 2008. She was an ensemble member through 2013 and in that time devised and performed Remember Me Like This (2009), Feast (2010), Home/Land (2012), and I Will Kiss These Walls (2013). She performed with the company at Goodman Theatre in both Feast and Home/Land. After going through APTP’s college counseling program she went off to Kalamazoo College and studied Political Science. In college, Stephany enjoyed singing in cappella groups, connecting with others in the Latino Student Organization, and tutoring at the local elementary school. She has also worked as a paralegal at Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym and as an aid at Metropolitan Family Services Legal Aid Society. In the summer of 2016, she returned to APTP as a guest performer in Learning Curve and also as the show’s Box Office Coordinator.  Now as a college graduate Stephany has once again returned to her APTP home to assist Maggie Popadiak in guiding and empowering youth in our neighborhood schools.
