APTP makes it television broadcast debut on May 12, 2016 at 10pm when WTTW, one of the Midwest’s premier public media organizations, premieres ALBANY PARK THEATER PROJECT: FEAST. The 60-minute show was filmed live at Goodman Theatre during FEAST’s acclaimed run in Summer 2015. The production will also stream online at wttw.com.
FEAST was one of the most critically acclaimed Chicago theater events of 2015. Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune called FEAST “Moving, Provocative, Beautiful, Honest.” John Carruthers at New City hailed it as “a tremendous achievement… FEAST is recommended without reservations.” And renowned chef Rick Bayless (who knows something about food) declared it “one of the most moving, impressive, hilarious shows I’ve seen in a long time…Delicious.”
Albany Park Theater Project is one of this city’s great treasures — a company of teenage actors that creates highly imaginative original productions produced on both its home stage in an Albany Park area field house, as well as on the stage of the Goodman Theatre, where its audience has expanded greatly in recent years.
Critics and audiences have made Feast one of the most celebrated shows of Summer 2015. “Beautiful, honest, magical, thrilling, acrobatic, moving, spiced, wondrous, subversive, brave, visceral, provocative, joyful, propulsive, universal, delicious”…are some of the superlatives critics have lavished up Feast.
