Alex Curio

Director of Development

Alex Curio (she/her/hers) is the Director of Development at Albany Park Theater Project. Before joining APTP, Alex spent four years as Development Director of the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) in Seattle, where she developed a deep-seated passion for the power and potential of small but influential arts and culture organizations, particularly those with a social justice focus. She experienced firsthand what it means to young people to access safe learning spaces that honor diverse identities and offer opportunities to explore connections between local and global communities. She has lectured and taught workshops on fundraising for the Evans School of Public Policy and the Museum Studies Certificate Program at the University of Washington, and the StEPs 4Culture program. Prior to her role at NAAM, Alex held the role of Development Manager at the Overlake School. Originally from the East Coast, Alex received her B.A. in Art History and English from Rutgers University and her M.A. in Museum Studies at the University of Washington.
