Izumi Inaba
Resident Designer
Izumi Inaba has been the Resident Costume Designer at Albany Park Theater Project since 2013. She is the 2014 recipient of the Michael Maggio Emerging Design Award, and she won a 2014 Jeff Award for her costume design for The Life and Death of Madam Barker at Red Tape Theatre Company. At APTP, she has designed God’s Work and I Will Kiss These Walls, as well as additional costumes for the 2013 revival of Home/Land at the Goodman.
Her other recent Chicago credits include Hamlet is Dead, and No Gravity (Red Tape), Broadsword (Gift Theatre), Spelling Bee (Griffin Theatre), Miss Marx (Strawdog Theatre), Ghost Bike (Buzz 22), Good Boys and True (Raven), and The Jewels (TUTA). Upcoming projects include The Hundred Flowers Project (Silk Road Rising).
She is a proud ensemble member at Red Tape, and holds a B.A. in Dance from SUNY at Buffalo and M.F.A. in Stage Design from Northwestern University.
