Ophena De La Rosa

Ophena De La Rosa (she/they) is a Chicago-based costume designer. She graduated from UC Davis with a dual degree in Human Development and Theatre & Dance. At Davis, she dedicatedly split her time between working as the department’s Costume Shop Assistant and interning at UC Davis Early Childhood Laboratory. Post-graduation, she combined her passions for education and performance arts at Broadway Sacramento, where she operated the community service, accessible arts, and education programs. Since moving to Chicago to pursue costume design, she has designed for university department shows and served as an assistant designer on productions at Court Theatre, TimeLine Theatre, and Writers Theatre. She is honored to continue working in educational theater as a part of Port Entry’s team!
