Maidenwena Alba

Maidenwena oversees programs for the APTP Performing Ensemble, serves as rehearsal director for Port of Entry, and will co-direct the upcoming The American Project. Maidenwena’s journey with APTP began in 7th grade in the APTP@School program at Albany Park Multicultural Academy. When she was 14 years old, she made her APTP debut in APTP’s God’s Work, performed at the Goodman Theatre. She went on to create memorable roles in Feast and Learning Curve. In 2023, Maidenwena returned to APTP as a rehearsal captain and swing performer for Port of Entry.
