What does Albany Park mean to you?
Spaces Albany Park is a community-wide storytelling project about place and belonging in Albany Park.

We’re inviting people who live, work, learn, worship, and gather in Albany Park to reflect on what this neighborhood means to them and share their stories with one another.
Whether you’ve lived here for decades or recently arrived, work in the neighborhood, go to school here, raise a family here, own a business, attend a local church or mosque, or grew up here many years ago…your experiences are part of Albany Park’s story.
Led by Albany Park Theater Project artists and youth leaders in partnership with North River Commission and other community organizations, Spaces Albany Park will bring thousands of people together to share stories about home, memory, belonging, change, and connection.
In Fall 2027, stories gathered through Spaces will help create a one-of-a-kind public performance, when community storytellers, musicians, dancers, and audiences will journey together through Albany Park.
But Spaces starts with listening – and with you.
